Getting Some Exercise!

For the past couple of days, I and hubby are into a golf practice :). He was so thankful that I opened up the idea of having some form of a better active exercise by playing golf. Hubby is a good player. (So far, he broke one tee in one of our tee practices, LOL!). For many years, he became inactive in playing golf, so by the time we thought of going to the golf course which is 3 minutes away from home, we didn't have to buy some clubs because he had those things still intact and had been sitting in the garage for a few years!
The day after our practice, I got muscle aches. That means I got the right moves and techniques in hitting the ball :)...and it means I also am not getting an active exercise, so I had a terrible "Ouch Day" for a day :).

On our 2nd day of our golf session, we went to Willow Springs, 12 minutes away from home because the Freedom Golf Center was closed as early as 5pm. Besides, the Freedom Golf seems to be old and not much amenities in it.

Way to go before I can actually play on the golf course, I am still practicing on hitting the ball on the tee. That's it as for this moment. Afterall, I think I'm getting an improvement :).

I-751 Biometrics Re-Take

I had my biometrics taken last July 23. Today, I received a letter from USCIS telling me to go back there for a re-take.

I usually hear this fingerprint retaking, and it makes me curious about why the FBI always had conflicts with what is on the USCIS computer? I mean, the actual fingerprint taking as I have observed seem to be OK on the computer, as it says there "passed" or "matched" in percentage.

Can't they just let the FBI do the fingerprinting so everything has to be sure?

Now, it seems I am having another few weeks delay because of this. The USCIS job of doing poor fingerprint taking gives longer wait for the applicant. Of course, you can do the retake without any payment (except for the gas you use in driving down there!), but how about the wait?? Nobody wants to wait for long and it would be extended because of poor fingerprint taking.

I have been going back and forth to the USCIS building...perhaps they love to see my face there from time to time, huh?

God is full of Surprises!

Yesterday, I received a call from our friend Josie and Jeffrey telling us that they are here in Maryland and asking us if we could meet. I told her to call me back once they can find a truck stop close to us so from there we'll see the possibility if we can meet. She called back and told me they might not be able to make it since the truck stop is a bit far from us. So I told her perhaps if it's God's will, there will come a time we really can meet together here in Maryland.
So, after her call, I called up hubby about it and he called Jeffrey back. I was thinking  we couldn't be meeting them as well because hubby was still on his way back home from work.
After 20 minutes, hubby arrived and asked me to dress up and we'll meet them...I jerked hahahah! I said REALLY??? I thought we can't make it?
You see, God is really full of surprises! He can give you things which you least expect of...it was wonderful and fun meeting these friends all the way from Texas. And the good thing too was we were just 10 minutes away from where the truck stop was :). Although it was only couple of hours before they had to leave, we had a good dinner and chat as well. Another birthday celebration of hubby with them..sort of {wink}.
Josie and Jeffrey, next time it will be at least an overnight stay at home, you'll gonna be welcome ;).

An Early Birthday Gift! :)

Yesterday, I finally got my new iPhone 3G that hubby ordered for me last July 17. We were both thinking that the item is available at the AT&T store close to us, but it was out of stock, so we had to wait for 2 weeks.

Hubby said it's an early birthday gift for me, and a partial gift for our 4th wedding anniversary celebration :).

I love this phone...it was actually my dream phone, and hubby took note of it everytime I mention it, hehehe...

Dscn5007

Dscn5008

Dscn5005

Since it's an upgraded plan of my account, I can have this for an additional $30 a month plus $5 for 200 text messages per month. Not bad, the fact that the features suit my needs...did I tell you am a gadget freak?? :).

This is just a portable PC, phone, iPod and navigator rolled into one. I wonder if "Pinky" (my cute laptop) would get jealous, hahaha!

I am still on the process of getting to know further about this phone. But I had been watching videos and even movies uploaded from Youtube!!!pretty cool!!! Am loving it!

Thanks beloved for the gift! :).

Back to MVA for Renewal!

I went back to MVA yesterday to renew my Learner's Permit Driving License. Things as planned to complete my behind the wheel driving lessons didn't go out as expected due to our travelling schedules..didn't have much time to work on the time required and the driving skills practice, and so it just expired! Thank God, they issued me another one good for a year!..I don't feel like doing this every year though...so I and hubby had been trying to struggle to work on time schedules for my behind the wheel lessons.

Driving A Brand New Mustang and Almost Got Lost...

Our experience with Hertz at Buffalo airport was a total mess! Our request as we expected were not met and made me and hubby upset! They tried to be nice to us and in exchange to that they gave us a BRAND NEW MUSTANG with only 4 miles on it!

Find out what happened to the MUSTANG! ...HERE.

NIagara Falls, Here We Come!

Almost set for our Niagara Falls trip tonight. Few more "abubots" and I'm done! :). We'll be flying to Buffalo, NY and from there we'll be getting our Hertz rent a car. They say there are so much things to do at Niagara both in US and Canada side, but I think there are much more to see in Canada side. If everything turns out to be fine in crossing the border, I would love going there to see some attractions.

Our friends, brothers and sisters in Christ will be there too. So, we will just meet in our hotels tomorrow. We're all excited!

I browsed some things to do in Niagara and I saw Niagara free fall...I asked hubby if we can do that...with eyes and mouth wide open he said "NO" hehehe! Won't do it either.

Ready For July the 4th - FIREWORKS!

Today, I am done with the preparations for the things we will be taking for the fireworks show in Longwood Gardens! It's our holiday get-away tomorrow and we're going back to Longwood Gardens. We are now a regular visitor of the garden, so we have our family pass. We get discounts everytime we visit there, so that saves us from few bucks. We can then use that for food..LOL!

Anyway, I prepared our 2 folding chairs, a tarpoline (just in case it will be having rain showers), a raincoat, and a small blanket to place our food. I checked the weather in PA today and it says there will be isolated thunder storms. I hope we won't get so much affected when the fireworks begin.

PACQUIAO-DIAZ FIGHT

I actually watched Manny's fight through pay-per-view at home. But only after Diaz was knocked down..LOL! I was pretty much nervous to watch the entire fight so I let my hubby watch it til it ended. I searched the fight on you tube, there are tons, but most of them seem to be not working. I found this one. I hope it works! For those who didn't see the final round where Manny won..this is the video. Enjoy!

Thank God!

First and foremost, I really want to thank the Lord despite the "challenges" that came through our away, amidst our hectic travel schedules, work job reassignment for my hubby,  immigration paperworks,  health matters, and household chores (still a little bit behind). We are still blessed that we managed to get things done right.  Hubby and I have always been a good team. When one is slowing down, the other one is being lifted up just to continue going. When we both slow down, God is lifting us up to continue going...we praise Him for that! :).
Well, here are the updates:

Travel Schedules:
We won't be resuming travels until after 3 weeks. At least, it's more than enough rest to do before another itinerary will come this July. More time to do household chores.

Job Re-Assignment For Hubby:
I was finally done with hubby's 45 (comprehensive resume). I had to type a lot of his job experiences so he can just submit that online. Finally, his moving on with another department has been decided upon. There was a sad part on the other hand leaving his co-workers behind, but his moving on with another department is another challenge and career improvement as well. He will be promoted as Grade 14 so thank God  for that! :).

Update on Immigrant Status:
Thank God...I received a letter from USCIS saying my green card is extended for another year, and thus I am authorized for travel and/or employment. I am still waiting for my biometrics schedule which might be too soon. We hope and pray that Baltimore is not too much lagging behind on this. Hopefully and God willing, I can as well apply for a dual citizenship late next year.

Health Matters:
I thank God for healing me so quick from a bad cold I got from one of our travels. Meanwhile, I am done with my physical examination today with Dr. U. It is my first time meeting my new doctor here in the US who is sweet and soft spoken. She is a Burmese, and as young as me, :)).  So far so good, but I still have to wait for my results after 2 weeks. Praying hard it will all be normal.

We'll treating ourselves for a good movie in our entertainment room tonight after dinner, yehey!
Gosh, just a chance to grab that rest is a good feeling, don't you think?

Have a blessed day everyone! :)

Got that "bug" from Seattle

Finally last Sunday, we arrived home safely from Seattle, with long hours in the plane. At the same time, I was sneezing and feeling congested while in the plane for 6 hours. Good thing was I got some pills with me to relieve it. Bad thing was when we arrived home, I was flat on bed, with bad headache, and runny nose. I rested for 2 days, which I had to recover that fast because I had to pack for our trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It's only a day trip and an hour away from home, so we drove. As of this posting, we are currently here in Gettysburg, checked in at Eisenhower Inn & Conference Center...nice place. More on the countryside, quiet, but the hotel has an ample space that are ideal to walk around like a big park. That means you won't get bored.

Weatherwise, I am loving the summer breeze here now :). While we were in Seattle, it was cold up there. Perhaps, one of the reason why I got that "bug" up there and brought it home. Gosh...hubby has to spray half can of lysol in the bedroom before going to sleep because he was jut scared he can get the bug too. I don't want him to get it as well because he has to give his series of symposium talks this week. He even put a big pillow in between us as boundary...waaaahhhh!!! I would tease him and I run after him when I wanted to hug him. LOL! Well, now, I'm feeling better. Thanks for my day-quil and Nite Quil meds. :).

Silver Bullion

Throughout the history, silver has been a good investment product. They are available in two popular forms; in coin or ingot forms. Coins possesses certain currency value that are defined as ingots, while ingots are formed of pure bullion cast in a convenient shape and size. This primary monetary metal is commonly used as an industrial commodity nowadays due to its durability, divisibility, convenience and has utility value. Because of its unique properties, the industrial demand for silver has grown up higher for the past 3 decades. Because of the growing demand of this precious metal, estimates show that more than 95% of silver has been already consumed by the industry, - the reason why it is always a wise idea to invest on it nowadays rather than wait. That's where Monex Deposit Company comes in. Silver investors can always rely with Monex companies because it has been recognized as America's silver and precious metals investment leader for 30 years. Start calling you Monex account representative today and learn more about silver bullion investment as part of your investment portfolio. You can then compare prices as well and at the same time see it yourself why Monex has been America's trusted name in coin and bullion trading.

Ladies & Gentlemen..it's CONNIE TALBOT!

She's awesome!! She's got the voice...from a 6-yr-old kid, that's amazing talent!! I am a fan of this cute kid :). Need I say more? Just watch and listen to her voice.

Removal of Conditions on Residence Updates

At last, half of the paperworks are done for our I-751 Petition Package. We are filing jointly with hubby so I am saying "our". :). Anyway, we were able to submit the said petition last week, and now we are currently on the waiting stage for updates. I know not everybody knows what I am talking about, but for those who are going through the same case as I am, you know what I mean, right?
Feel free to visit my Immigration Journey site where I keep all my updates regarding my timelines.  This might also help some who are undergoing the same procedure like mine, so feel free to browse as well :).

I went shopping! :)

As much as I had fun in Disney, I had fun shopping as well. We didn't have any idea where to go for shopping and we were thinking of going to Orlando downtown and find some malls there. Thanks to our ever reliable navigator system in our car. We went to prime outlets center, and it was all signature brands in there. I told hubby not to go in there because it's expensive. But we tried going in anyway, and guess what, not bad because they offer lower prices compared to those signature brands that they sell in regular mall outlets. They offer as high as 70% discount...cool. I got my Dooney & Bourke set purse and wallet, and some stuffs from Victoria's Secret....geesh, they are girly stuffs, so don't bother asking. hehe...
If you want to see what I shopped, visit them HERE.  I also bought a perfume in France....nah! I wasn't in France...I mean France in EPCOT..LOL!

Hubby's Job Dilemma

I am not sure if you call it dilemma, but for my husband, this is a serious decision that is not to be ignored. We have been talking about this last week and he revealed to me he is having difficulties dealing with his boss - Jim. I know him and met him personally and he seems to be a nice guy, quiet but serious most of the time. He talked to Jim's boss, - Paul, and also happens to be our friend. Paul is both Jim's and my hubby's boss. Paul is a soft spoken guy, cool and easy to get along with. I even feel more comfortable talking with him compared to Jim.
Jim has been getting tight on my hubby, and he always wanted my husband to stay at the office all the time, which became a conflicting issue between hubby and him because hubby's job is not that way. Many of the staff know hubby is on the field most of the time because that is his job calling. Everybody in the department knows my husband and has been a good worker ever since. I can attest to that because he has been recognized almost several months a year, attending some awarding ceremonies just to let me see him accept his awards and plaques. My husband was able to open up this conflicting issue with Jim to his work mates and most of them don't like Jim either. Even before the issue broke out, I sometimes hear Janell complaining about Jim's attitude.
Yesterday, hubby finally talked to Paul and his decision is to move him to a different unit, same department. Another thing is that Paul assured him he would be promoted to grade 14 and can still do the same job routines he usually does and that includes travelling. Hubby told Paul he can still be willing to take another chance to work this with Jim because he loves where he is right now. In fact, his buddies there were upset upon learning about the news of his moving.
He asked me my opinion about this and I told him, if Jim would be seeing him as a "headache" in his unit, then why take another chance? The offer was actually better because his future boss, - Bob is a guy much better than Jim...at least that's how I was being told. But I asked him if he talked with Jim about trying to work the things out and he was saying yes, he was willing... but Paul said he will be moving him anyway.
This is still under negotiation. I am praying and we are both praying together. He was already deeply attached to where he is right now and I understand how he feels. But everything happens for a reason. His moving will be a benefit for him, I suppose.

A Super Busy Me!!

Hi guys...my apology for not being around these days. For those who are still visiting my blogs, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. For those messages I haven't replied back, I hope you understand...I am struggling so hard to juggle my time. In my current situation, I always wish I am a superwoman! LOL!
When I get busy, it's really superbusy.  For those who left messages on my message box, don't worry, I'll get back to all of you soon. I might have time to update everything on our way to Orlando, if not it will be after we get there and get settled middle of next week.
The house is a real mess these days. Packing is still unorganized, piles of papers are everywhere because hubby is still working on our joint taxes. Now, we are both messy! :).
I wonder how will I be able to catch up with some pending opportunities on my paid blogging. I rejected 2 opportunities already because I lack time.. waaahhhh.
Got to go...travelling tomorrow! Please help us pray for a safe trip as well.
Happy Sunday! :).

Wimbledon Tickets

I am always looking forward to watch the actual Wimbledon tennis tournament...at least for a change :). I have been to baseball games several times with my husband and a cousin for fun mostly during summer. There is one family friend of ours who loves to watch tennis, and he's actually a fan. Sometimes, he would invite us to watch the tournament but he would always be on a wrong timing because everytime he invites us, we are out of town. We knew he is getting tickets from a friend of him who also is a tennis fan. I don't have any idea where is he getting it but perhaps next time we meet, I can just tell him about Team One Tickets online where he can get his Wimbledon tickets for the upcoming Wimbledon tennis tournament. For sure, he will be there. He's an avid fan! :). And oh, by the way, he really doesn't mind spending much for that. One time my husband told him the tickets are a bit expensive, but he said it's good he is earning good..lol! At least now, there is Team One Tickets which can help him lessen his expenses. Tickets there are much lower and affordable. Team One Tickets is a privately owned agency that sells tickets in the secondary market which includes Wimbledon tickets. It might be difficult for us making a schedule to watch for the game due to hubby's tight work schedules, but Team One would absolutely be a big help for him where he can just directly purchase his tickets from there.

More Travel Updates!

Few days more and we'll be off to Orlando, FL on Monday again. It's a 2-week bit of rest and preparations, then off to travel there for a week.

Then, we will be having big travels coming up for June to Philadelphia and straight from there to Seattle. This kind of travel schedule is kinda tough for me to handle because I get crazy digging different clothes to wear particularly if we travel from south to north...from summer clothes to perhaps thicker ones for  Seattle.
This will be the longest travel so far since it will be spontaneous...now, I am thinking of getting 2 big luggages instead of the usual 1 big, 1 small luggages that we usually carry. I am praying for a warmer weather in Philly and Seattle, that way I can pack more clothes easily. That's the main thing I like with summer wears, not too bulky to handle :).

After our Orlando trip, it will only be a week preparation and just drive down to Philly, and from there we'll fly to Seattle. I  am getting excited for our Seattle trip as I haven't been there yet...kinda like "Sleepless for Seattle" hehehe...well this is different from the movie "Sleepless in Seattle."  huh? I guess I will be sleeping good in Seattle, kasi mapapagod ako sa sobrang paglalamyerda hane?  :)

I Signed Up For SocialSpark! :)

Socialspark
Actually, I already joined SocialSpark few weeks ago and I am still on the process of familiarizing myself about the whole site. SocialSpark is a social community network just like any ordinary social networking websites out there such as friendster, myspace, facebook, etc...but there is more to that which I will talk about it later. :)  I consider it mostly as a social community of bloggers because they can still do sponsored posts on their blogs once they have signed up. Good thing is, bloggers doesn't need to have a Google page rank to submit a blog. We don't need google page ranks in Social Spark, remember?? :)). On the other hand, this site is not only limited to bloggers. Any person who loves meeting friends online can join too as well as one who loves to read a lot (mostly, you see a lot of blogs there, so there are lots to read  lol!) and eager to improve his/her own craft as a writer or a blogger. Social Spark is being serviced by IZEA, the same company that services PayPerPost (PPP). Social Spark is the most unique social community networking online because while meeting a lot of friends, you  can at the same time get paid. Here's how you do it: First, you get to go to the marketplace section, browse for opportunities and choose one that you are qualified with. There are informations on the site that lets you know if you qualify for a certain opportunity or not. Once you have selected an opportunity, you either have to "wait for a slot" which means you still have to be on queue for a reservation. Once your opportunity is reserved for you, blog about it, then you get paid. if you are new to paid blogging, you will learn from here. They have what they call "sparks" for you to post (it's free) and it is somewhat like a warm up of getting some ideas on how to post brighter and smarter ideas on your blogs. Social Spark has code of ethics which are 100% audit-able in-post disclosure, 100% transparency, 100% real opinions and 100% search engine friendly. If you are interested, you can visit Social Spark and try to roam around. Sign-up for free and from there, the fun begins...and oh, don't forget to add me up :).

Hubby Hates Corned Beef!

I cooked corned beef for dinner today and hubby didn't like it at all :(. I asked him why and finally he revealed to me the reason. He said while he was still small, his father mistakenly fed him with a pet food which he thought was a corned beef. He said his mother was out that time and when his mother came home she asked his father if he already fed him. He said yes...with a corned beef! His mother told him she didn't buy any corned beef and so she went to check the can...the ones written on it was PET FOOD...yikes!
So, my hubby's father went into trouble that day! hehehe....I asked him what happened to him after eating it and asked him if he started barking after that! :)))...it was funny, we both started laughing.
So, that was the end of the story of the hated corned beef!

Arrived Home Freezing

It was actually funny for both of us because when we came inside the house yesterday from a tiring travel and chilly night, we were both surprised to feel that the house was like a fridge. It was so cold inside, only to find out later that hubby turned the heater off before we left for San Antonio. He said he was thinking he just lowered the heat down, but actually he turned it off. Gosh, we both rushed upstairs and I started digging for my thick pajamas on my closet in the other room. When I went back to our bedroom, I saw hubby digging his closet too, all his clothes there were a mess! He was looking for a thick coat and a thick pajama. We were just looking like freezing puppies, LOL!
After a few minutes, the heater started to warm up. Thank God for that! I got that trembling knees for a while :).
